Antique Miners lamp WW2

The old German firm of Wilhelm Seippel (est 1848) made lamps. Miners lamps.
For everyone. And here is one they made for the Nazi's. Even they needed light in the dark.
The Nazi cross on the back with the DR (Deutsche Republik) places this model smack-bam around 1940. Whatever you say: they made things to last in those days!

NOTE: there is no offense or advertising for the Nazi era intended, this just happens to have their cross on it, for me it just is a very cool lamp.

This lamp is an adapted model of their model number 110. It has a mirror in the back, a candle-holder inside, glass sides which close with brass shutters, and a very thick piece of glass in the front.

All parts are in surprising good state.
The brass is tarnished and a bit beaten, there is some rust inside, but all parts seem to be the original parts, handle, closures, glass, stamps..

The insciption on the top reads:
Wilhelm Seippel -
Grubensicherheitslampe
Maschinenfabrik GmbH
Bochum

8.3 inch (22 cm high), 4 inch wide (11 cm) , 3.5 inch deep (9 cm)

It belongs in a museum, but happens to be for sale.
It will be packed and send with utmost care, wrapped in plastic and thick padding, in a sturdy box.

See my policies in case you would like to pay in installments: http://www.etsy.com/shop/FutureFromThePast/policy
