This is a beautiful hand coloured print from Rev. Francis Orpen Morris' A History of British Moths. Morris had a reputation as a popular writer on natural history. His first great success was A History of British Birds, which was quickly followed by A Hatural History of the Nest and Eggs of British Birds, and A History of British Butterflies, followed later by A History of British Moths.
Morris became an early advocate for conservation and was instrumental in founding the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

Condition - The condition of the print is excellent. The hand colouring vibrant. The paper is cream in colour. This is a medium size print measuring approximately 6 1/2" x 10 1/4" (17cm x 26cm).
