An antique wedding photo has been altered into a variation on the symbol for Yin and Yang, with the woman's face replaced by a red paper face. Pen and ink were used to create the fractal paisley shapes, and asunflower yellow background was added in acrylic paint. The photo has been mounted on a pine board with a hole or hanging at a 45 degree angle (see fourth photo). There's also a suggestion of two romantically inclined amoebas meeting under a microscope (or possibly separating, that is more usually the way it goes as I understand).
This piece is 4 1/4" across, 6" tall, and about 3/4" deep.
