This vintage book wreath would be a unique paper sculpture for the wall in your eclectic, vintage, cottage, or shabby chic home.
I have been making these vintage book page wreaths since 2008 and am honored to have my work (in various mediums) featured in Better Homes and Gardens Make It Yourself 2012, FOLK, Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Crafts 2011, Romantic Homes, GreenCraft (a Stampington publication), Early American Life, Create and Decorate, Victoria, Arts & Crafts, and several online home decor and wedding blogs.
About this particular wreath:
Book used: The Writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson, (c)1940.
Colors: Ivory to cream pages with black text; ivory crepe paper ruffle, ivory vintage seam binding ribbon.
This particular wreath is approximately 17" in diameter.
The ever popular sentiment, "Home Sweet Home". is the centerpiece and is printed on ivory parchment paper. It is surrounded by a hand-pleated, crepe paper ruffle.
A wire hanger is attached to the base on the back. This wreath can hang with the vintage ribbon, or you may remove the ribbon and hang from the wire loop in the back. The base is covered with pages from the same book. The back is finished very neatly. The wreath is signed and dated on the back, as well as having the name and date of the book used.
I don’t destroy perfectly good books as a rule, and use books that are falling apart, have pages missing, or are damaged in one way or another.
*I ship in large 18" x 18" x 6" boxes purchased specifically for the wreaths. I also use lots of cushioning materials to protect the wreath inside the box. Be sure to save your box ~ it is perfect for storing the wreath when needed. I use UPS GROUND for these packages, unless you are in a nearby state, and then I will use USPS Priority. Insurance is included on all wreaths.
