The crying elephant
Though living in the Galilee, and therefore obviously painting Galilee landscapes, I like my landscapes anonymous, intimate, unrecognized. I refer to them as Home-scapes, visual diaries of life and nature.
It was a slide. A big elephant shaped slide, with a ladder in its tail and the trunk as a slide, going down all the way to a little sand box. Someone took a brush and painted greenish-blue tears running down from its sad looking eyes. What must have been a glorious slide in the early 1980' was now an old worn-out plastic elephant. I couldn't help but feeling sorry for it.
